Oscar Pistorius' defence lawyer Advocate Barry Roux raised eyebrows on Tuesday when, after the Supreme Court of Appeal (SCA) had adjourned, he was overheard saying something to the effect of "I'm going to lose... it's a fact".
Roux was apparently not aware that his microphone was still on when he made the statement just after the SCA had heard arguments for and against the overturning of the athlete's culpable homicide conviction.
702's Xolani Gwala spoke to criminal law expert Advocate Mannie Witz about Roux's apparent "admission". Witz said he wouldn't read too much into it because the context of the statement was unknown.
