Selling Apartheid: South Africa’s propaganda war brought to light

CapeTalk’s John Maytham spoke to the author of the book Selling Apartheid: South Africa’s Global Propoganda War, Ron Nixon.

Nixon is a New York Times journalist who wrote a book which tells a story of the International South African propaganda campaign, run with military precision by the apartheid government.

The book details a variety of things the apartheid government did to get the international community on their side.

They created a political party in Norway, they had people in Germany, they had black Americans who were on their payroll, they tried to buy publications in America…
