SANCCOB centre evacuates sea birds and equipment amid Rietvlei fire

Firefighters continue to fight the blaze near Blouberg, while penguins and other sea birds are evacuated from SANCCOB centre.

SANCCOB's Francois Louw said they started evacuating the distressed birds since 6am.

Louw said the blaze was on the perimeter of the Table Bay Nature Reserve's Rietvlei Section, where they are located.
