The Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) has been found to be deeply dysfunctional, following an investigations authorised by health minister Aaron Motsoaledi.
A special task team probed allegations of irregularities and mismanagement at the HPCSA after Motsoaledi received several complaints.
Motsoaledi explained the findings of the probe, including wasteful expenditure and mismanagement.

Next week, Motsoaledi will be meeting with the HPCSA to assess if and how they will implement a list of recommendations.
