'Taxpayer anxiety will rise with SA's growing deficit'

The head of the Tax Review Committe, Judge Dennis Davis, has put into context his recent comments regarding the risk of a tax revolt in South Africa.

Davis said that taxpayer anxiety would continue to increase with the growing deficit, corruption and poor budgeting of taxpayer money.

Davis also said he feels uneasy about implementing a carbon tax because of its retrogressive nature.
