Phiyega, Jiba appointments raise questions - Corruption Watch

The National Police Commissioner has reportedly been accused of fraud and perjury. Meanwhile, NPA head Advocate Shaun Abrahams has been reported to have ignored legal opinions from the NPA's own prosecutors about prosecuting Advocate Nomgcobo Jiba.

What does Phiyega charge say about her political support?

National Police Commissioner Riah Phiyega has reportedly been found guilty of fraud, perjury and misconduct.

This makes her the third police commissioner post democracy not to serve a full term. Her two predecessors were dismissed for dishonesty.
