The first ever Cape Town international dance Festival presented by iKapa Dance Theatre is set to take place on 26 November to 3 December.
The festival will feature 12 of the world’s elite dance companies from seven different countries under the theme Town and Township.
CapeTalk’s Pippa Hudson spoke to the Executive Director and co-founder of ikapa Dance, Theo Ndindwa who says the aim is to offer the audience performances from diverse cultural backgrounds.

The programme of this event is fully packed with a series of workshops, film screenings, photo and art exhibitions, as well as the Maboneng Township Arts Experience Festival, a full-day creative and cultural encounter, which will turn outdoor spaces in Gugulethu into performance districts.
