Shami Chakrabarti is a Human Rights Lawyer, and heads up the organisation Liberty in the UK.

She joined John in studio to talk about the need to preserve civil liberties when governments around the world are trying to take those liberties away from us in the name of fighting terror.

She is here for the launch of her book, On Liberty.
