Mom places ad in paper for potential son-in-law

On this week's Ad Feature, Jonathan Cherry selected for his Pick of the Week a classified ad he had spotted in the past weekend's Die Burger, in which a woman lays down the qualities she's looking for in a potential partner for her daughter.

We were quite intrigued by the advert, as we did not know if it was real or a gimmick. So our producer sent off an e-mail, and received a reply shortly thereafter.

The ad was placed by a woman who chose to only be identified by her first name, Amanda, on behalf of her daughter, Franci. Amanda said that she simply wanted to help Franci find the right man as she's been using dating services in the past but without any real success.

She quickly agreed to come on air with Kieno Kammies and to tell us more about Franci and how she reacted to the fact that an ad had been placed in the newspaper.
