Catcalling update - some men just don't get it.

Following the release of a video to illustrate what women face when walking in public, CNN invited two guests to discuss the issue.

Comedian Amanda Seales made the observation that irrespective of the criticism of the video, catcalling is real and women don't like it. The issue should be how to let men know they should stop doing it.

Man "expert" Steve Santagati instead argued that women liked the attention and if they did not they should say something. His response when challenged that it may not be safe to respond - "get a gun".

This is a global issue and is often the tip of the iceberg for objectification and abuse of women.

The US NGO that posted the video, I holla back has a South African chapter to assist those wanting to deal with the issue.
