Uzalo producers not satisfied with Sunday Times apology

Pepsi Pokane, co-owner of Stained Glass Production, which produces local TV soap opera Uzalo, is on the line to Stephen Grootes, and explains his dissatisfaction with the front page apology that Sunday Times published yesterday.

The show had been accused of being far more expensive than equivalent shows such as Generations and had not followed proper procedures.

But Pokane says they are only half way there with this apology and does not agree with the Ombudsman's ruling where he found in the Sunday Times's favour on two issues.

He says it is incorrect that Hlaudi Motsoeneng made the decision to overturn the decision made by a senior committee.

Pokane says he is going to appeal the decision.
