Victim speaks of being kidnapped in a Cape Town cab - and getting away

On Monday, 10 November 2014, CapeTalk broke the story of Sandra, a listener who contacted us, and told us about her ordeal being kidnapped by a cab driver in the early hours of Sunday morning (Saturday night), as well as how she escaped.

Sandra and her friend flagged down a cab outside a local club on Cape Town's Long Street, where they were to make their way home.

The cab dropped off Sandra's friend safely in Fresnaye, and on the way back, to take Sandra to the CBD, where she was staying, the cab driver attacked her.
