When the appeal was brought to his attention, Lesufi says the case was presented as a kiss between the teacher and a leaner and not as sexual assault.
I don't know how this matter escaped my hawk-like eye to an extent that we have egg on our faces and I truly apologise.— Panyaza Lesufi, Gauteng Education MEC
We are reporting the teacher to the South African Council of Educators with an intention of terminating his membership to be a teacher, meaning he cannot teach in any school within our country.— Panyaza Lesufi, Gauteng Education MEC
