Professor Tim Noakes appeared before the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) on Monday morning over a complaint against him in connection with a tweet in which he advised a mother to wean her child on Low Carb/High Fat foods.
The hearing into Noakes “professional conduct” has been adjourned following quarrels over whether video link testimony will be allowed from an expert witness.
CapeTalk’s John Maytham spoke to Jacques Rousseau, critical thinking and ethics lecturer at UCT, who thinks that Noakes hearing is just a good PR stunt.
