As South Africa sees the start of the annual 16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against Women and Children campaign, #16DaysofDiscontent reports back on the performance of various government departments and civil groups.
The Department of Justice and Constitutional Development has been scored six out of 10 for its legal frameworks on sexual offences and handling of court procedure.
Activist and researcher, Lisa Vetten said the Shukumisa project focuses on the quality of services provided to victims of violence by government departments and organisations.
