Succession, workers' issues discussed at Cosatu congress

Cosatu’s national congress has heard several proposals at its collective bargaining conference.

EWN reporter Govan Whittles on Thursday said some of the major resolutions that were up for debate included the use of the South African Post Office, the implementation of a state bank, the national minimum wage and constitutional amendments to the powers and frequency of annual Central Executive Committee (CEC) meetings.

The conference has been characterised by succession battles and workers issues.
