Come join 567 Cape Talk for the Cape of Good Hope SPCA’s 11th Wiggle Waggle Walkathon in Firgrove Way, Tokai on Sunday 2 November. You can check out the route map right here!

This annual walk held to raise money for the animals at the Cape of Good Hope SPCA has not only become a tradition among thousands of 2 and 4 legged entrants but has become one of the most popular events in Cape Town.

More than 4000 animal enthusiasts are expected to take part in this fun filled morning of exercise and canine friendly activities, which starts at 9am.

The entry fee is R25 per person. Dogs enter free, as well as children under the age of 6. No dog is necessary to participate.

“If you or your dog need to work off the extra winter weight, this is the pawfect opportunity to get into shape.  So come along for the fun of it – it is a day out for the whole family!” says Cher Poznanovich, Fundraising Manager for the Cape of Good Hope SPCA.

DIRECTION:
  1. Directions From M3 going towards Muizenberg. Take the Ladies Mile off ramp. At traffic light turn Right into Ladies Mile Road. You will approach a traffic circle. Go around the traffic circle and take the second exit. You will then enter Firgrove Way. Continue down Firgrove and the venue is on the right. Park along Firgrove Way. Try and get to the venue earlier because the road will be closed at 08h30. 
  1. From Muizenberg: Get onto the Main Road going towards Tokai. Turn Left into Tokai Road. The Blue Route Mall will be on your right. Continue on Tokai Road until you reach a traffic circle. Go around the circle and continue to your left. Continue for about 2, 5 kilometers, you are now on Spaanchemact River Road and the venue is on the corner of Spaanschemacht River Road and Firgrove Way, Tokai. 
  1. From Constantia/ Wynberg: Get onto Constantia Main Road going towards Constantia Village Shopping Centre. Turn left into Spaanschemat River Road. (Constanti Village is on your right). Continue down Spaanschemat River Road, cross over Ladies Mile, pass Pedlars on the Bend on the right. You are still on Spaanschemat River Road and continue for about 3km until you reach the intersection at Firgrove Way and Spaanschemat. Turn left in Firgrove Way and the venue is on your right.
