For many crime is an everyday occurrence but after weeks of on-going gang violence and gruesome murders, Capetonians are speaking up.

At Cape Talk we always cater to the needs of our listeners. We give them a platform and they talk to us. They are telling us about their concerns and their desire for action.

It is with this mind that we say let’s “Silence the Violence” and march for peace in our city.

Should you or your organization wish to participate in this peaceful procession, join us on the 4th of May at the Good Hope Centre in Strand Street. We will gather from 11h00.

There will be parking available around the centre and security will be provided. Cape Town’s famous Noon Gun will mark the start of the “Silence the Violence” March. We will proceed along Strand Street, into Adderley Street and end the one-kilometre walk in Darling Street outside the Cape Town City Hall.

Let this be our first step towards a crime free Mother City.
