This is an epic story of intrigue, romance, laughter and tears. A large cast of thirty students from Grades 10, 11 and 12 are highly involved in the many character parts within the chorus who narrate the play and bring cameo performances to life. The music can only be described as unique from a wide range of genres, heavy metal, pop ballad and even African jazz. The music and lyrics have been composed and written by the students themselves, ably lead by the Musical Director, Markus Hegewisch, a matric Music student. Certainly a feast for the ears!

Tonight Neither Hamlet, features Guy de Lancey with direction by Chris Weare, who recently received the Fleur du Cap Lifetime Achievement Award.
A comic look at what happens behind the theatre curtain from the perspective of one of the forgotten characters of theatre, the curtain puller. Pushed front and centre by a co-incidence of occurrences, he reveals what the audience doesn't see, and at the same time, some of his lost dreams and ambitions in the world of theatre. Funny, poignant and entertaining.

Owl charts a friendship that starts in the heat of the Overberg summer between two ten-year-old girls, finding them again six years later. Olivia arrives in the town with her Dad; she is the new girl, the quiet girl, the weird girl. Then she meets Kay, the girl with the scar. Horwtiz performs ten characters, from the two young girls and their teenage counterparts to both their fathers and a group of boisterous men. Owl is a story about climbing trees, punching boys and kissing girls, touching sensitively, and not without humour, on coming-of-age and other issues. Ages 15+

“…Shepherd, together with Shane Cooper on double bass and drummer Jonno Sweetman, creating music of subtle yet tremendous power. Though the technique of all three is undeniable, this is no antiseptic chopsfest: it is music of genuine passion, meditative and stately but always emotionally engaged. It has groove at its very core, with hummable, stripped back melodies on top – and not just in the “head” sections that traditionally top and tail jazz arrangements.” Marcus O’Dair | The Arts Desk, United Kingdom
Shepherd recently launched his 3rd Album, ‘South African History !X’ to critical acclaim. His two previous Albums, ‘fineART’ and ‘A Portrait of Home’, attracted South African Music Award nominations and drew recognition worldwide from respected jazz critics and discerning music listeners alike.
Shepherd has performed in Japan, Holland, France, Belgium, The Bird’s Eye Jazz Club (Switzerland), the Ĺrhus Jazz Festival (Denmark) as well as at home in South Africa at The Cape Town International Jazz and Joy of Jazz Festivals.

The Creedence Clearwater Revival Tribute Show
Born on the Bayou
This highly entertaining show has proven to be a great success at various prominent musical theatres across Southern Africa. Many corporate functions have been brought to life by the party atmosphere and musical talents of these highly skilled musicians due in part to their uncanny ability to sound like the original Creedence Clearwater Revival Band.
The deep South roots and swamp pop rockabilly sounds are brilliantly captured as one is swept away by "Bad Moon Rising", Proud Mary", Have You Ever Seen the Rain" and many other old favourites.
This show has proven to be a great success at many entertainment venues.
With well over 300 shows under their belt, performances at the Grahamstown Arts Festival, The Showcase Theatre North Riding, The Performer Theatre Pretoria, all the Barnyard Theatres, Richard Loring's Sound Stage and many high profile corporate events, from Sun City Superbowl to La Toscana at Monte Casino.
The guys have entertained patrons in Maputo in Mozambique, the Aardklop Music Festival in Potchefstroom, KKNK in Oudtshoorn, InniBos in Nelspruit and performed to over 3500 people at the Celebration Centre in Harare, Zimbabwe.
38 Years after the original CCR brought their unique brand of music to the world, Clint and Co are keeping the torch burning

In this exhibition van Schalkwyk plays with ‘Painting’s’ relationship to the ‘Documentary’ in order to engage a world ‘freeze-framed’ in time. Through his painterly investigation of the everyday life of an isolated community, van Schalkwyk captures the passage of time and its navigation of the temporal to the eternal.
The work draws from a five year period of observation, of the Jatniël
Faith home community where he spent his childhood. Documenting the everyday activities and rituals; traditions and values; the environment and the effect time has on this community of people, he elevates the mundane to create a metaphor for life as a spiritual activity, highlighting their value system of putting God and community ahead of the individual.

Your pet could be just what the judges are looking for in the SPCA Royal Canin Mutt & Meow of the Year online pet photo competition, which runs from 10 April to 21 May 2012 and aims to help hundreds of homeless pets by finding the most-loved and adored cat and dog online.
An adaptation of the Cape of Good Hope (CoGH) SPCA’s popular Mutt of the Year competition, which was held annually for 15 years, the new online competition makes it possible for many more dogs to stand a chance of winning the coveted Mutt of the Year title and for the first time gives cat-lovers an opportunity to brag about their feline friends in the new Meow of the Year category.
Unlike traditional pet competitions which reward dogs and cats with fancy pedigrees and pure-bred characteristics, the SPCA Royal Canin Mutt & Meow of the Year will celebrate the unconditional love and special companionship between pet owners and their canine and feline friends, regardless of their breed. The competition also aims to help hundreds of stray and abandoned animals not as fortunate as those being entered for the titles of Mutt & Meow of the Year, by encouraging pet owners to get their friends and family to vote and donate online to the CoGH SPCA.
The four competition prize categories include the Mutt of the Year and Meow of the Year, which is open to all cats and dogs and the Mutt Top Fundraiser and Meow Top Fundraiser, which will be awarded to the pet and owner who through their votes raises the most amount of money for the CoGH SPCA.

When Ferris agrees to look after his sister's seedy hotel in the country, he doesn't anticipate the arrival of a notorious journalist who writes a critical column in a Sunday newspaper.
Or that this will coincide with a visit to the hotel of an assortment of guests whose guilty secrets they don't wish to have divulged. As a result, Ferris is caught up in a dizzy round of lies and subterfuge as he tries to protect the hotel's reputation - a task made more difficult by the fact that he doesn't know which of his guests is the journalist!
