Kindly note that events for the 567 CapeTalk Whats On Diary can ONLY be submitted for consideration via the website. No e-mails or faxes will be accepted.
CRITERIA FOR DIARY INFO:
The 567 CapeTalk Whats On Diary serves the community by announcing events and happenings in and around Cape Town. Events need to be open to all to attend ie. festivals, shows, dances, talks, gigs - with preference given to fundraisers for charity.
Your submission (once approved) will be listed on the Kfm 94.5 and Cape Talk website. (Only one submission necessary for info to appear on both)
WHAT TO DO:
- Supply all details requested. A 60 to 80 word write-up is needed in the "Event Description" column. (Keep short, but supply who, what, where, when etc.)
- The actual date of the event is needed in the space provided. You can not choose the dates for when events must be listed! Should the event be on 1 November - that will be the start date AND end date.
- Please remember to supply the town or suburb name in the venue section.
- Eg: Stellenberg High School, Durbanville.
- Please refrain from typing in capital letters.
Advertisers/sponsors: The diary is not intended for the use of advertisers and/or sponsors. (Sponsors names will not be mentioned) Events that are “too commercial” will not be listed.
Reunions/GM’s: We unfortunately do not list Reunions or General Meetings.
Art Exhibitions: Can be listed as an “exhibition opening event” - but not for the full duration. (Unless decided so by the Community Diary Editor in cases of fundraisers etc.)
Workshops/Talks/Seminars/Courses: Will be listed if it’s (a) Free, (b) A fundraiser for charity, (c) Hosted by a school or club to raise funds, (d) the fee is truly minimal. If offered by registered institutions or speakers for financial gain it will be considered advertising and will not be listed.
Note to theatres, restaurants, pubs etc: Should you be listing more than 1 event scheduled at the facility/venue remember: a maximum of 5 events at a time (scheduled for 1 venue) can be made live on the website.
ON AIR LISTINGS:
Once approved for the website - information will be selected for the on air diary.
Interviews for the diary (25 second sound clips used with certain stories) are done telephonically and can not be requested. Should we want/need to do an interview for your listing we will contact you.
