The heavy rains and strong winds have caused havoc in some Cape Town communities.
Two community healthcare centres were severely affected by overnight flooding, the City of Cape Town has confirmed.
Flooding has been reported in Goodwood, Parow, Bellville South, Ravensmead and Belhar.
Power lines have also brought down by strong winds in some areas in Langa, Bervliet, Durbanville and Maitland.
The Parow and Ravensmead health facilities remain closed until the damage caused by extensive flooding is repaired.
The City's Charlotte Powell advises that patients with medical needs visit other daycare facilities or provincial hospitals until further notice.
