Global Coffee pledges to sponsor #SmartWaterMeterChallenge device for school

Global Coffee has pledged its support for one school in a campaign aimed at saving water at numerous schools across Cape Town

The campaign involves the installation of a special water-monitoring device called the ”Dropula” which costs R30 000.

Shoprite Group sponsored 100 Cape schools and challenged other businesses to come on board and adopt a number of schools.

Financial director at Global Coffee, Bennie Carstens, says everyone needs to play their part in ensuring that we save as much water as we can.

We are thankful to Shoprite for launching this amazing initiative and also challenging all the suppliers.

Bennie Carstens, Financial Director at Global Coffee

And we said this is a great initiative, let's get involved. At the end it is all about education and this problem won't go away.

Bennie Carstens, Financial Director at Global Coffee

Water is such an essential element we can't not have it, and at the end of the day, you can't not have coffee. From our part we will help with sponsoring one school...
