Netball Club Tafelzucht receive R65 000 donation

CapeTalk, in partnership with the Dis-Chem Foundation, has donated R65 000 to Mitchell’s Plain netball club, Tafelzucht.

The club, which opened its doors in 2013, aims to introduce sport as a solution to the drug abuse, crime and gangsterism problems in the Mitchell’s Plain area. Its vision is to heal the community by creating opportunities to come together and cheer each other on.

CapeTalk Drive Host John Maytham spoke to the club’s Public Relations Officer Dorinda Saunders on the show yesterday and confirmed the Dis-Chem Foundation’s donation.

The Foundation’s Lynette Saltzman says: “Dorinda and her team are doing great work in their community and we salute them. We hope that our donation will go a long way towards helping them continue to positively impact the lives of youngsters in their community.

Dorinda expressed her heartfelt thanks to CapeTalk and the Dis-Chem Foundation.

The donation will go towards purchasing netball equipment for the club.
