The car slammed into Thomas’ bike as it was crossing a red traffic light; Thomas was allegedly on his way to visit his girlfriend. The accident left Thomas in a critical condition in ICU unable to sit down and write his matric exams. He suffered fractured facial bones, haemorrhaging of the brain, and a broken arm and leg.
