Actor, Wandile Molebatsi was in studio to chat about the South African movie 'A Million Colours'. The film is based on the true story of Muntu Ndebele and his journey after the June 16 uprising. They also discussed other projects Wandile is involved in. Alan and Barry went through a couple of box office hit movies. They took a look at the movie Avengers which has a great cast and is action packed. They also looked at the Shakespearean film ‘Coriolanus’ which stars Jessica Chastain. Barry and Alan also spoke about the film based on Steve Harvey's self help book 'Act like a lady, but think like a man'. Nik Powell from the UK Film School joined Barry on the radio to chat about the Cilect2012 film festival hosted by Afda that he is attending. He also looked at the challenges the South African film industry is facing. Alan and Barry spoke the legacy of Dick Clark who made a huge contribution to the entertainment world. They also chatted about Steve Harvey's book 'Think like a man and act like a lady' that has been made into a movie and looked at the success of Hunger Games as well as Joyful Noise starring Dolly Parton and Queen Latifah. Garth Holmes, Co-Founder and Chairman of AFDA, chatted about the Cilect 2012 Film School conference which will be held from 30 April to 1 May. Barry and Alan Silverman spoke about the creator of the Titanic movie James Cameron and Titanic 3D in light of the centenary of the sinking of the Titanic. They also spoke about the film about the life of Monaco's Princess Grace Kelly who will be played by Nicole Kidman. Barry spoke to the chief stunt creator of the movie Battleship about the stunts in the movie and the thinking and planning behind them. Barry was joined by Alan Silverman talking about the latest movies released in the US. They chatted about the success of The Hunger Games, wrath of the Titans and American Pie Reunion at the box-office. Then Pieter Dirk Uys also known as Tannie Evita was in studio to chat about his play ‘Adapt or Fly’, which is a remake of ‘Adapt or Dye’ which kicks off this week at the Joburg Theatre. Barry and Hollywood Correspondent, Alan Silverman chatted about blockbuster movies including Titanic 3D, The Hunger Games and Charlize Theron's latest movie Young Adult.Then Barry spoke to director Jonathan Lieberman about his latest film Wrath of the Titans. His next film will be the remake of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Barry talked to Alan Silverman about various movies such as Hunger Games, The Debt and The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel. Tom Sawyer will be hitting the big screens soon Barry and Alan discussed the movie releases of the week including The Hunger Games which is slated to take on the Twilight movies as well as the movie Carnage starring Jodi Foster and Kate Winslet. Barry and Alan Silverman discussed Tom Cruise's latest projects including a possible remake of A Star is Born and looked at The Artist which opens in South Africa this week. They also looked at Salmon Fishing in the Yemen - a brillian book now a movie which Alan recommends.
