Born in Cape Town and raised in a little village nestled in the Usutu Valley in Swaziland, provided a beautiful contrast to my early life.
Ever the adventurer, I attended boarding school in Pietermaritzburg as well as two years of university before dropping out to 'explore freedom' as a waitress in the terrifying metropolis of Johannesburg.
Training as an air traffic controller returned me to my birthplace and my mountain where I was working on my 'happily ever after', until stardom/self-humiliation in the form of reality television summoned me back to Gauteng.
Miles away from friends and family, I finally found a home...at 702.

PROFILE
What did you want to be when you were little?
A pilot
What soothes you?
Music, running water, swimming and bear hugs from my pets.
What irks you?
Selfish drivers, trucks in the fast lane and incompetent sales clerks.
Is there a book you read that changed your life?
Yes... I'm embarrassed to say that
The music you listen to most often?
Hmmm... that's a tough one. I'm too much of an eclectic to confine myself to just one genre.
Who would you go to the ends of the earth for?
My brother, Jonty, over and over again.
Who is your greatest source of inspiration?
These are hard questions... who came up with these? They should be shot for putting us on the spot like this... honestly! From a career perspective, I'm really lucky because I'm surrounded by every radio personality I have ever aspired to be. I have their talent on tap every day. I must say that the person I am most in awe of here, is Jenny. May I one day be as well-read, informed, involved in community interests and as able to have a conversation completely on my own as she is! She truly is a modern day wonder-woman. On a personal level, I pride myself on finding inspiration in the people I meet every day.
Do you have any 'show off' coffee table books in your home?
That which is not glued down in my home, gets chewed!
Ever been left speechless on the air?
Hell yes! What happens more frequently though, is that I realise that my mouth is moving and my head has no idea what it's saying. Then it's a mental race for the brain to catch up before I say something monumentally stupid... sometimes I succeed and sometimes I don't!
Who is the one person you would love to interview, but haven't yet had the pleasure?
My future husband... first dates are interviews, after all!
