Rest in Peace Oupa Jack

11 July 2019 8:31 AM

Last year Kfm and Makro gave Angie the amazing opportunity of reconnecting with her 100-year-old father over Christmas after 18 years of not seeing each other.

Angie flew to the UK, where she spent two days with Oupa Jack. She was also able to spend some time with her brother and family.

Kfm Mornings was sadly given the news that oupa Jack peacefully passed away at 100 and 6 months old. Rest in Peace Oupa Jack.

CT named one of world’s best places for remote work

15 January 2021 7:40 AM

The coronavirus pandemic has changed the way we live and work.

With companies increasingly adopting permanent work from home policies, it's no surprise that articles listing the top places in the world for remote working are popping up all over the internet.

One such list, published by Big 7 Travel shows our very own Mother City as one of the "50 Best Places For Remote Working In 2021".

Coming in at number 42, Cape Town is described as, "an incredibly connected expat and digital nomad scene from all corners of the globe. The scenery doesn’t hurt, either. Situated right on the water, surrounded by mountains and chockfull of colourful markets and quirky neighbourhoods, Cape Town is all about the atmosphere."

Stuck at Beitbridge border

13 January 2021 8:31 AM

In this prank, Whackhead plays a man stuck at the Beitbridge border between South Africa and Zimbabwe.

He calls a South African official based at the border post to let him know that he is stuck in the fence and desperately needs help getting out.

Naturally, the official is confused by the call and questions how 'Whackhead' got caught in the fence in the first place...

TikTok user @aluhoney shared a hilarious video rendition of the prank.

The difference in people is their standards. Period.

11 January 2021 7:17 AM

New year, new you? Only if you put the work into achieving your goals.

On #MondayMotivation, Darren, Sherlin and Sibs share some hard truths you need to face for a better you.

"The difference in people is their standards, period"

"Everyone in the world has a list of things they think they should do. I should lose weight. I should work out.... I should work harder. I should make more calls,"

"I should. I should. I should. I should, and then you know what, people don’t do their shoulds, and they get mad at themselves, and they what I call “should all over themselves,”"

"They beat themselves up about it. What changes people is when their should becomes a must. When suddenly the thing you said should happen has to happen,"

"That’s when human beings change."
