I grew up first in Cape Town and then went to school at CBC Boksburg on the East Rand. A rugby lover and supporter of fine wine, I’ve spent the past 16 years in radio with a short stint in TV. Although I live in Benoni, the Stormers are my team. The star of my life is little Chloe White, who still believes dad is her hero – a fan at last! She also beats me at basketball – costing me a bit in pocket money. I studied for a National Diploma in Journalism at Pretoria Technikon and joined the SABC as an intern. After the political change in 1994, I was given a crash course in reading news and put straight on air. However, things worked out and I joined 5fm later for nine years of fun.
But Talk Radio 702 is my dream job as I see the station as the pinnacle of radio journalism in the country. News is a well-chosen career and I’m pretty lucky to do radio, as it’s my passion for which they actually pay me!
