567 Cape Talk sports anchor Jeff Ayliffe was given the opportunity to photograph River Jetez, the winner of the 2010 J&B Met, a few days after her victory. While speaking to the trainer in Milnerton, he cheekily asked if he could ride her, and to his surprise, his request was granted.
He was later told that he was the first-ever non-jockey to ever have ridden on a J&B Met winner.
