Residents in the area of the Disa Towers were evacuated just before midnight last night, after a huge fire broke out above Rhodes Drive, just after 9pm. The flames spread rapidly in a high wind, and many residents in the Gardens area were effected by heavy smoke. At midnight, the flames were running up the entire length of devils peak, right to the summit.
