In this episode of Africa State of Mind, Lee Kasumba chats to dancer turned pastor Pushie Watson about being a globetrotter, and migrating from Liberia to South Africa.

Pushie Watson is originally from Liberia and started her career as a dancer and TV host but now she's changing lives as a pastor.

Watson says that she left Liberia when she was 10 then ventured to Kenya, Ghana, Gambia, Namibia then finally relocated to South Africa.

South Africa is the best of both worlds. We have the modern commodities and infrastructure of the Western world but we still have that African touch and feel.

Pushie Watson, pastor

Watson says that life is easier in Africa because we have each other.

I believe that our steps are ordered by the Lord she adds.

Watson says that coming to South Africa was a divine destiny.

I'm the only person in my family that stayed in South Africa she says.

When you surrender to the call of the Lord, your life is no longer your own.

Pushie Watson, pastor

Watson says that we live life forward, but we understand it backwards.

I've connected with people my entire life and I've been exposed to many different cultures and ethnicities she adds.
