Parliament still developing a plan to move to Tshwane

Eyewitness News parliamentary correspondent says the Department of Public Works has identified more than one site.

Minister of Public Works Thulas Nxesi has told Parliament his department is still developing a plan for the relocation of the national legislature from Cape Town to Tshwane.

Eyewitness News reporter Babalo Ndenze says the relocation of has been on the agenda for years.

Speaking to John Maytham, Ndenze says there are a number of sites in Pretoria but the decision has not been made.

At the moment they have more than one possible site.

I think the 6th Parliament will give us new information because they will have to come up with legislation and an amendment to the Constitution.
