Michael Sun says there is a housing crisis
The City of Johannesburg MMC for Community Safety Michael Sun says they are concerned about the protests taking place in Johnennsberg South.
Residents blocked roads leading into parts of Ennerdale, Zakariyya Park and Lenasia South as they protested on Friday morning against the occupation of land in the area.
Speaking to Ray White on the Xolani Gwala show, Sun says they are alert in case more protests erupt.
We as the law enforcement of the city will continue to uphold the law. We cannot allow our country to continue to be seen in a state of lawlessness.
Michael Sun, MMC for Community Safety - City of Johannesburg
We are doing all we can to handle the land invasions. I think it goes deeper, so it is really a housing crisis.
