[UPDATE] Eskom cuts back on load shedding for Tuesday - Stage 1 to start at 5pm
Eskom suspended load shedding at 4am on Tuesday due to an improvement in the power system.
The power utility says Stage 1 will be implemented at 5pm until 10pm tonight and warned that the system remains vulnerable.
Eskom implemented Stage 2 load shedding on Sunday evening due to plant breakdowns.
The organisation says the outlook for the rest of the week is expected to improve as soon as more generators are returned to service.
The City of Cape Town announced that loadshedding for its customers is suspended for Tuesday evening.
