The history, the present and the future of the PPC Newlands Cricket Stadium
The John Maytham Show is broadcast live from the PPC Newlands Cricket Stadium. PPC Newlands is the home of Western Province Cricket with the seating capacity of 25 000.
The very first test match to be held at PPC Newlands was on 25 March 1889, between South Africa and England.
Newlands was voted the number-two test venue in the world by a panel of experts from The Cricketer in 2011.
John Maytham spoke to Nabeal Dien, CEO of Western Province Cricket Association about the history and future of the stadium.

The commercialisation will involve office, restaurants, coffee shops and museums and we presently have cricket school.
